The outstanding individual and team achievements of our students is recognised at our annual award ceremonies. Held as year level events, eligible students are recognised with awards including;
- Major Awards (Academic, Cultural, Service, Sport and General)
- Academic Awards (Subject Awards, Academic Excellence and Academic Achievement)
- Cultural Awards (Music, Arts and Debating/Public Speaking)
- Service (V@M and Production Support)
- Sports (including age champions).
All parents/caregivers and students will receive an email at the end of Term 3, 2023 detailing their award nomination, including those students who will not receive an award. The purpose of this email is to provide an opportunity to confirm that all students who are eligible for an Academic, Cultural, Service or Sports award are correctly nominated. The eligibility for an award can be confirmed by referring to the
Mansfield State High School 2023 Awards criteria.
If after checking the criteria, a parent/caregiver or student believes that a mistake has been made, the email includes the process to address this concern. Please check the criteria to determine eligibility before making a query and follow this up promptly so that it can be investigated. The deadline for submitting a query is 9.00am on Friday 15 September 2023.
Recipients of Major Awards are announced at the ceremony and where possible, kept as a surprise for the student. School administration will invite the parent/caregivers of the award recipient to the ceremony so that they have the opportunity to be present when the award is announced.
The school dux is announced at the Exceptional Achievement Ceremony which is held the year following Year 12 graduation, after student results are known and students have finalised their post school plans for the year.

- Exceptional Achievement Ceremony – Tuesday 6 February 2024
Parents/caregivers of students receiving an award are encouraged to attend the ceremony. Details of how to book a ticket and seat limits will be provided before each event. Some events are live streamed so that additional family members can watch. When available, details of streaming and the link will be emailed.
