Dear Parents and Caregivers

Thank you for your support in Term 2, we hope that the holidays are a time to rest and relax before another busy school term.

In preparation for Term 3, we are reaching out with some important key dates for your diary.  While you will receive additional information via email for each individual event, we hope that this advance notice of times and dates will allow you to plan in to support your child's learning.

Subject selections are an important Term 3 milestone for students in Year 7 to 10 as they will finalise their 2026 subject selections during their MyPath interview (and Year 10 SET Plan meetings). While students will be working on planning their selections in SDP classes, it is important that parents have the opportunity to support their child through this process and learn about the subjects their child is considering. Reading through our Curriculum Guides with your child and for those in Year 8-10, attending the scheduled subject information evenings are an important part of this process.

For students in Year 10, 11 and 12, the QTAC presentations provide information specific to where your child is within their senior pathway. For our Year 12 students it will focus on making tertiary preferences through QTAC, while in Year 10 and 11 it is about understanding the QCE process and how ATAR works. These are very valuable presentations if your child is planning to purse tertiary study post school or might be interested in this option in the future or through an alternative pathway.

Book here option: Please reserve seats for the presentations where a booking link has been included. Seat reservations assist with our planning for these events. We ask you limit attendance to one parent and the enrolled student.

Year 8 in 2026

Current Year 7 students will be assisted in their SDP classes to plan for their subject selections for 2026. You can initiate discussions about subjects using the Year 8 Curriculum Guide 2026. Final selections will be made in MyPath interviews.

If you have specific questions about these events, please wait until you receive the email with a further explanation from the year level Deputy Principal, Head of Year or school Administration.

These emails will be sent closer to the event and will include further information that may answer your question. The purpose of this email is to provide an opportunity to have discussion with your child about their subjects during the holidays and to set aside the date/s of the events you may wish to attend.

Thank you again for your support during Term 2.

Kind regards
