As you would be aware, severe weather from Tropical Cyclone Alfred is predicted to affect South East Queensland over the coming days. This weather system is forecast to bring significant heavy rainfall, strong winds and flash flooding.

At this time, Mansfield State High School remains open and timetabled classes are operating as normal. The Department of Education will provide advice and updates to the Executive Principal regarding school closures as the need arises, with the plan to provide notice the day prior.  This information will be passed onto parents as it becomes available.

In line with advice provided by the Department of Education to minimise unnecessary travel, excursions, camps and other non-essential activities have been cancelled/postponed. A list of cancelled/postponed activities can be viewed on our school website and will continue to be updated as information becomes available.   Please refer to this list and check your emails, before contacting the School Office with questions.

Please follow the advice of Emergency Services and stay informed via Government briefings and announcements.
