Creative Generation - State Schools on Stage
Since 2005 Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage (CGEN) has given students, teachers and school communities the opportunity to be involved in a professionally produced, award-winning arena spectacular.
Students at Mansfield State High participate each year, giving diverse and entertaining performances with state school students from Prep to Year 12 from across Queensland.
Choral Fanfare
Creative Generation Choral Fanfare (Choral Fanfare) is a biennial choral festival for Queensland state schools which promotes and celebrates school-based choral music programs. Mansfield students participate in the program which showcases the outstanding vocal talents in our state schools through performance.
Instrumental Fanfare
Fanfare is the biennial state-wide festival of bands and orchestras from Queensland state schools. It showcases the exciting music-making that occurs in school-based ensembles across the state. Mansfield students participate in the program, striving to improve their performance and hone their skills.
State Honours Ensemble Program (SHEP) and Australian Honours Ensemble Program (AHEP)
The Honours programs are educational programs operated by the Queensland Conservatorium of Music for music students to help extend and encourage students’ pursuit of musical excellence. Students may express interest in the SHEP program, and are then nominated by the school. AHEP runs concurrently with SHEP QLD, with selection via audition. Students that are unsuccessful for a place in the AHEP Program will then be considered for a place in SHEP QLD. Successful students will have the opportunity to work in either a Wind Orchestra, String Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Big Band or Vocal Ensemble.
