Mansfield State High School offers Work Experience to Year 10 - 12 students. Work Experience familiarises students with working conditions and employer expectations. In addition, it offers students the opportunity to sample a specific type of work, and also promotes personal and social development.
The conditions of Work Experience for Mansfield SHS students are based on The Education (Work Experience) Act 1996. Students:
- are 14 years and over
- receive no payment in money or kind
- work 5 days during normal working hours for the industry
- are covered by Workers Compensation
The Program is only offered during Term 4, unless under exceptional circumstances (to be discussed with the Head of Year 11 – Ms. Felicity Symko).
Work Experience will run from 30 November 2020 through to 4 December 2020.
If you would like to participate in the Mansfield SHS Work Experience Program, please return the signed forms below to the Student Engagement Officer (Ms. Naomi Pearce) in G block staffroom by 9 November 2020.
