Mansfield State High School offers Work Experience to Year 10 - 12 students. Work Experience familiarises students with working conditions and employer expectations. In addition, it offers students the opportunity to sample a specific type of work, and also promotes personal and social development.
The conditions of Work Experience for Mansfield SHS students are based on The Education (Work Experience) Act 1996. Students:
- are 14 years and over
- receive no payment in money or kind
- work 5 days during normal working hours for the industry
- are covered by Workers Compensation
The Program is only offered during Term 4, unless under exceptional circumstances (to be discussed with the Head of Year 12 – Ms. Felicity Symko).
Work Experience will run from 29 November 2021 through to 3 December 2021.
If you would like to participate in the Mansfield SHS Work Experience Program, please return the signed forms below to the Student Engagement Officer (Ms. Naomi Pearce) in Student Services by 8 November 2021.
