Religious instruction

Religious Instruction (RI) is offered at the school and is conducted one lesson per term.  Currently, we only have enough interested students for Christian instruction but we are open to other faiths having lessons should there be enough students interested and there is an available and appropriately supported faith leader to present the instruction for those faiths.

Students who identify as Christian or who elect to be involved in the Christian religious instruction, receive bible-based age-appropriate Christian messages that encourage the students, instil Christian values and enable them to start their worldview through a Christian framework. They are delivered by approved representatives of local Christian churches such as Gateway Baptist, Hillsong, Citipointe, Creek Road Presbyterian, Eastside Community Church and Hope Centre International.

Students who are not participating in RI will be provided with other instruction in a separate supervised location. Other instruction must relate to part of a subject area already covered in class and may include, but is not restricted to:

·                personal research and/or assignments

·                revision of class work

·                wider reading such as independent reading appropriate to the student.
