Environmental Council members, Sian Gaebler and Nim Weeraseena, attended the awards to accept the Environmental Protection Award and Overall Award for High Schools on behalf of the Mansfield community.

The Spotless Suburbs and Schools competition is a Keep Queensland Beautiful initiative, running in partnership with Brisbane City Council and SITA Australia.

The awards aim to promote pride in our local communities and create a cleaner, greener, litter-free city for all of us to enjoy. The 2013 Spotless Suburbs and Schools winners were announced by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk at a ceremony held at The Deck in King George Square on Monday 20 August 2013.

Environmental Council members, Sian Gaebler and Nim Weeraseena, attended the awards to accept the Environmental Protection Award and Overall Award for High Schools on behalf of the Mansfield community. Such awards recognise the community effort it takes to keep the school grounds looking great. Thank you also to Mr Fites, Mr Foxover and our amazing team of cleaners who work tirelessly to keep our school looking great.

You can do your bit too! If you see some litter on the ground, please pick it up and put it in the bin – even if it is not yours. If our rubbish ends up in the bin, it doesn’t end up in the creeks, rivers and oceans.
