TJ Ryan Memorial Medal and Scholarship for 2014

Each year a small number of Queensland students in both State and non-State schools is recognised as part of the TJ Ryan Memorial Medal and Scholarship program. The honours, which include university study scholarships, recognise academic excellence and outstanding leadership in both the school and the community in the previous Year Twelve cohort.

The program is named after Thomas Joseph Ryan, Queensland Premier from 1915 to 1919, who worked as a teacher, obtained Arts and Law degrees and placed a high value on education and the difference it could make in people's lives.

2013 School Captain, Sam Cree, was a recipient of one of these highly prestigious Awards.

Congratulations go to Sam from the whole Mansfield High School community on receiving this Award. This is an exceptional achievement.
