Please read carefully the information below relating to your
situation. Remember, all students are required to have a laptop for their
lessons in 2019. Information about all aspects of our 1-to-1 Program can be
found the school
website.
N.B. Students in TIC classes will have specific requirements
which will be communicated separately.
Read the section that applies to your situation:
1.
I am in
the School Laptop Program (CYOD) (Please note you will be invoiced
for the School IT Levy in February)

Already have laptop? – Bring your laptop
to school fully charged and ready to go. All existing CYOD program members from
2018 must fill out a Continuing Program form (Distributed in SDP classes or
available from school website) and return to the lower office or email to 1to1program@mansfieldshs.eq.edu.au

Need to collect laptop? (Students will
not be allowed to collect a laptop unless you have committed to a payment
plan and paid money towards the laptop)
o Year
8, 10, 11 or 12 – report to LA1 to collect laptop before school,
morning tea or lunch during the first week back
o Year
9 – Your class will be rostered to collect laptops sometime between Thursday
31 Jan and Monday 4 Feb. Collect at that time.
o Year
7 – Your class will be rostered to collect laptops sometime between Monday 4
Feb and Thursday 7 Feb. Collect at that time.
2.
I am
bringing my own device (BYOD) (Please note you will be invoiced for
the School IT Levy in February)

All students continuing the BYOD program
from 2018 must fill out a Continuing Program form (Distributed in SDP classes
or available from school website) and return to the lower office or email to 1to1program@mansfieldshs.eq.edu.au

All BYO laptops must be enrolled in
Microsoft Intune so that it will connect automatically to the school Wi-Fi network.
This process should be done at home BEFORE bringing the laptop to school.
3. I am not yet in a 1-to-1 program

Ask about special arrangements if supplying a
laptop will put you in financial hardship. Contact Business Services Manager

Short-term laptop loans are available until you
get your own laptop. These laptops remain at school and are required to be
picked up and dropped off at the IT Help Desk each day.
